exe which was included in the game folder.
Note: If you have several game folders and one of them contains a No-CD/No-DVD patch, you can easily tell which one the game.exe is contained in by looking for the title or name of the game in the folder name. You can then double-click the game.exe and it will open. Once the game.exe is opened, the patch should automatically work. You may also double-click on the No-CD/No-DVD patch and it will run.
No-CD/No-DVD Patch functions: The No-CD/No-DVD Patch automatically adds a new section to the game's Options tab called "CD" and "DVD" and enables you to enable the "No-CD" and "No-DVD" options for CD and DVD.
Note: The "No-CD" and "No-DVD" options are not the same as the "No-CD or No-DVD" and "Only-CD" and "Only-DVD" options. The "No-CD or No-DVD" option is a "Yes" or "No" check box option. The "Only-CD" and "Only-DVD" options are similar.
Note: Some CD's and DVD's have a folder "Content" with the actual game data and the title of the game. If the title of the game is not in the "Content" folder, the No-CD/No-DVD patch cannot include the game data and still work. If this is the case, either install the game using one of the installation methods found here or install the game using the game.exe file.
Playing with a Single Disc: To play the game with a single disc, you may have to disable the file copy warning/error message. If you get the message "File copy with this location may be dangerous" please follow the instructions found here to disable the file copy warning/error message. You may also have to disable the game to install a single disc.

You can download Star Control II: Serious Terra at the site to their server and you will get the full version without the need for the patch. (Note: Serious Terra was released by Stardock, not Interplay. The Star Control II games were always officially supported by Interplay.)
